Fortunately, Google Cloud provides user-friendly services in these areas and Qwiklabs has you covered with this introductory-level quest, so you can take your first steps with tools like Big Query, Cloud Speech API, and AI Platform. Syllabus

  • AI Platform: Qwik Start
    • In this lab you train and deploy a TensorFlow model to AI Platform for serving (prediction). Watch these short videos Harness the Power of Machine Learning with AI Platform and AI Platform: Qwik Start - Qwiklabs Preview.
  • Vertex AI: Qwik Start
    • In this lab, you will use BigQuery for data processing and exploratory data analysis, and the Vertex AI platform to train and deploy a custom TensorFlow Regressor model to predict customer lifetime value (CLV). The goal of the lab is to introduce to Vertex AI through a high value real world use case - predictive CLV. Starting with a local BigQuery and TensorFlow workflow, you will progress toward training and deploying your model in the cloud with Vertex AI.

  • Dataflow: Qwik Start - Templates
    • This page shows you how to create a streaming pipeline using a Google-Provided Cloud Dataflow template.
  • Dataflow: Qwik Start - Python
    • In this lab you will set up your Python development environment, get the Cloud Dataflow SDK for Python, and run an example pipeline using the Google Cloud Platform Console.
  • Dataproc: Qwik Start - Console
    • This lab shows you how to create a Google Cloud Dataproc cluster, run a simple Apache Spark job in the cluster, then modify the number of workers in the cluster, all from the gcloud Command Line.     I recently completed the "Baseline: Data, ML, AI" course on Google via Qwiklabs, and I must say it was an excellent learning experience.
